Ok, here we go...

As promised, here's the blog for my trip in Korea. I can't promise daily updates but I will try not to forget/be too lazy.

I didn't realize people actually did this, but I finally got to see (and eat) a square sandwich with its crust cut off. Only on Asian airlines (Korean Air, in this case).

4 hour bus ride from Seoul to Gwangju sounded dreadful at first, but then somehow I managed to sleep through it completely. Not too bad.

Taxi ride was the worst. I was stupid (yes Michael, I mean stupid) and didn't have the KOREAN address of the school in hand. Or the Korean name of the school, for that matter. So after I repeated "science", "technology", and "college" several times, the taxi driver still managed to take me to a LG factory. Then did I realize that I had the acceptance letter (with the Korean name of the school) in an email attachment...and the security guard at the LG factory gave correct directions to the taxi driver.

No need to tell me. I know I derped

But hey, I managed to get into my dorm room at around 1am. Not too bad considering how many things that could've gone wrong along the way. Actually, if I hadn't managed to connect to wifi at Incheon airport, I would've taken the wrong bus to the wrong Gwangju...(apparently there are TWO Gwangjus in Korea...WHY would you do that?!)

Here's my beautiful, clean, and Asian wood-floored room. Be jealous.

If you can't tell, I'm super excited about my room!

AND it comes with its own bathroom! With a high-tech toilet. No, I haven't tried the buttons yet because I'm afraid of what will happen. Though the toilet seat is automatically kept warm...surprised me the first time I sat down.

The shower's got two shower heads - a movable one with soft jets that you can hold and a giant disk directly above your head for washing your hair.

I think I'm going to be spoiled.
